Steve Bruce is Head of Application Integration Services at EIT. He leads the strategy and delivery of enterprise applications and integration, connecting systems, data and processes that support EIT’s scientific and corporate teams. His remit includes application architecture, ERP, integration, service design, supplier leadership and the practical, responsible use of AI and automation. He works across technology and business teams to establish clear governance, resilient services and a coherent roadmap for growth.

Steve has around 30 years of technology leadership experience. Prior to joining EIT, he held transformation, IT Director and CIO roles spanning healthcare, higher education, logistics, local government and private equity-backed organisations. His work has covered enterprise change, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, data governance, mergers and carve-outs, and large-scale integration programmes supporting more than 800 sites and 21,000 users.
