The Search is On: Applications Now Open for the Undergraduate Ellison Scholars Programme

The search is on for the next cohort of undergraduate Ellison Scholars, with scholarship applications for 2027 now open until 31 July 2026.

The Undergraduate Ellison Scholars programme offers exceptional students the opportunity to drive innovation while studying at the University of Oxford as a fully funded undergraduate. Alongside their degree, Ellison Scholars work on cutting-edge EIT projects that aim to tackle global challenges through science, technology and innovation, combining academic study with real-world problem-solving.

The programme is highly selective, and EIT seeks exceptionally talented individuals with strong collaboration skills and the ambition to make a real impact. EIT is particularly interested in applicants with skills or experience in areas such as computer science, artificial intelligence, economics, mathematics, engineering, materials science, robotics, plant sciences, machine learning, chemistry, biology (including synthetic and generative biology), tissue engineering, medicine or microbiology. This list is not exhaustive, and strong candidates who believe they can contribute meaningfully to EIT projects are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must meet the University of Oxford’s undergraduate entry requirements for their chosen course.

Prospective applicants can find full details on the EIT website and are encouraged to sign up for an information session to learn more about the Undergraduate Ellison Scholars programme.

Applications close on Friday 31 July 2026.
