Sope Adekola

Sope Adekola is a seasoned community engagement professional with over a decade of experience fostering connections among individuals dedicated to making a positive impact in the world. She currently serves at the Ellison Institute of Technology, Oxford where she oversees the entire journey of Ellison Scholars, based at the University of Oxford, from selection to graduation, ensuring they receive the necessary support and opportunities provided by the scholarship.

Previously, Sope worked in the philanthropic sector, focusing on youth development and volunteer engagement. In her most recent role, she successfully led the recruitment and engagement of over 2,000 volunteers from more than 100 countries worldwide.

Sope holds a degree in Politics with International Studies from the University of York and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from the Open University. Outside of work, Sope enjoys hybrid training, which combines running, weight training, and recently, climbing as part of her fitness routine.
