Lujza has always been amazed by the ability of science to predict the behaviour of complex systems based on a couple of simple laws governing our universe. Now, as a physics student, she aspires to do the same, investigating also the intersections of physics with other natural sciences.
Lujza has participated in science Olympiads since elementary school. She represented Slovakia in the International Physics Olympiad (IPO) and the European Physics Olympiad (EPO), where she won a bronze medal. Her participation in the Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT), where she received gold and silver awards, has been particularly influential. The competition, which simulates a scientific conference, gave her the opportunity to investigate phenomena in electromagnetism and quantum physics through both experimental and theoretical approaches, while also developing strong collaboration and leadership skills within a scientific team. This experience ultimately inspired her to establish a thriving physics community at her school, where she shares knowledge and mentors younger students.
Outside of science, Lujza plays the piano and enjoys playing in theatre.
