Junkyu is interested in developing robotic systems inspired by origami structures to advance next-generation hardware design.

Junkyu has conducted advanced research across multiple disciplines. He developed an algorithm related to eccentric sequences in graph theory, earning the silver medal at the Samsung HumanTech Paper Award. He also represented Korea at the International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT), where he received a bronze medal for his performance in physics discussions. He further developed a frequency-tuning device to maximize the efficiency of a vibratory wind turbine, earning top awards in national and international research competitions, including a gold medal at the Korea Science & Engineering Fair (KSEF). Based on this work, he is currently preparing a patent application.

In the future, Junkyu aims to expand his research and translate his work into real-world applications through technology-driven ventures.

Outside of research, Junkyu enjoys playing badminton, gaming, and watching films.
