Nicholas Kruus is a researcher who has published four papers on AI policy and uplift. In particular, at 16, he became the youngest person to co-author a paper published in PNAS, and his ICLR paper was covered by Nature News, Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark’s Import AI, Axios, and more.
He has also researched a national security book at the Brookings Institution, advised World Bank economic forecasts for 47 countries with the IMF, researched a nuclear policy report whose recommendation was implemented by the US and UK governments, and reviewed papers for NeurIPS.
For fun, he’s learning to voice act and produce music.
