Tim is an infectious diseases doctor and microbiologist working in Oxford. He is interested in using genomics to improve the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, in particular tuberculosis. Recent research experience has focused on finding optimal antiviral treatments for pandemic respiratory viruses.  

Tim has worked across the UK and in Thailand, Japan and South Africa, including most recently at the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit.  

Outside of work he enjoys spending time in the mountains, mostly spent climbing and running.
