Pritvik is a physicist whose research spans high-energy particle physics, gravitational-wave astronomy, cosmology, astrobiology, and scientific machine learning. He has completed a BS in Physics with a minor in Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he has conducted research with CERN, LIGO, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) group, and leading scientists across multiple disciplines. His work sought to understand how fundamental processes in the early universe leave observable signatures that can be detected through gravitational waves, cosmological surveys, and high-energy experiments.

At Oxford, under Prof. Yarin Gal and Dr. Danilo Jimenez Rezende, Pritvik will focus on uncertainty-aware scientific machine learning, Bayesian inference, active learning, and machine-learned interatomic potentials for scientific discovery. He is particularly interested in developing physically constrained and uncertainty-calibrated AI systems that can accelerate advances across physics, materials science, and the natural sciences.

Pritvik is a recipient of the Rise Global Scholarship, the George W. Green and Bernice E. Green Memorial Academic Prize for Original Research, SETI Forward Award, Robert F. Christy Prize for Outstanding Freshman in Physics and Richard G. Brewer Prize in Physics. Beyond research, he is the founder of PAWS for Therapy, a volunteer initiative providing animal-assisted therapy, and serves as an advocate for organ donation following his own kidney transplant journey.
