Jessie is pursuing a DPhil in Paediatrics (Immunology) with the Oxford Vaccine Group and the Ellison Institute, under the supervision of Professors Daniela Ferreira and Sir Andrew Pollard. She completed a dual Stanford B.S./M.S. in Biology with Honors at Stanford University in just three years and was subsequently named a Swiss Fulbright Awardee. Her research training spans Stanford Synthetic Biology, the Harvard Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, and the Italian Institute of Technology's Brain Development and Disease. At 19, Jessie published her first first-author paper and has presented her research on international stages including TEDxStanford, the University of Lausanne, and the Gordon Research Conference.

During her DPhil, Jessie focuses on vaccine development by leveraging AI to model human immune responses and identify correlates of protection. Her goal is to design and deploy next-generation vaccines that can be developed more rapidly and affordably against emerging and resistant pathogens to deliver long-lasting protection for global populations.

As a first-generation American and immigrant from Thailand and Singapore, Jessie is a committed advocate for first-generation mentorship. Having been raised by her aunt with Down syndrome, she is also passionate about advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome.
