Cecilia Lindgren is the Co-Director of the AI & Data platform at EIT, where she leads groundbreaking initiatives at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced analytics in collaboration with the University of Oxford.
In addition to her role at EIT, Cecilia is a Professor of Genomic Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of Oxford and the Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer at Aneira Health, a startup dedicated to advancing smart and sustainable healthcare for women through AI and computational biology.
Previously, Cecilia served as a Senior Research Fellow at St Anne’s College and as the Director of the Oxford Big Data Institute, where her research focused on understanding the genetic and biological mechanisms underlying obesity and fat distribution. Her work has helped uncover genetic variants influencing obesity, providing critical insights into metabolic health.
Passionate about translating academic excellence into real-world impact, Cecilia also serves as a Venture Partner at Population Health Partners, supporting innovative approaches to healthcare and commercial scalability.
