Hoan is a machine learning researcher specializing in deep learning architectures, optimization landscapes, and AI4Science. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Data Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and is completing his Master of Science in Mathematics in Data Science at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
His research focuses on the foundational design and optimization of deep learning models, with a particular emphasis on Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architectures, loss landscapes, and diffusion language models. Driven by a passion for AI4Science, he aims to apply these structural and architectural insights to tackle complex challenges in computational biology and biomolecular modeling at EIT.
