Lizzy is an Automation Specialist in the Pathogen Program at EIT, where she designs and implements automated laboratory workflows. Her work focuses on translating manual laboratory processes into end-to-end automated solutions.
Prior to joining EIT, Lizzy worked as an Automation Scientist at Arctoris in the Automated Cell Biology team, supporting the development and implementation of a range of automated cell-based assays. She previously held an Automation Scientist role at Exact Sciences, where she automated NGS workflows from sample library preparation through to pooling and sequencing. Her work also included technology development, LIMS integration, and supporting downstream bioinformatics analysis.
Lizzy holds an MSci in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and has research experience in genetics and epidemiology from the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).
Outside of work, Lizzy enjoys outdoor walks and discovering coffee shops with her husband and energetic Cockapoo, and spending her spare time painting, sketching, and playing the guitar.
