John Smithson is the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at EIT. A qualified accountant, he brings extensive finance leadership experience across the Medical Aesthetics, Telecoms, and Technology sectors, with a strong track record of supporting strategic decision-making in complex, fast-growing organisations.

Throughout his career, John has held senior finance leadership roles with responsibility for financial planning, performance management, and strategic business partnering. He has worked closely with executive teams to drive sustainable growth, financial discipline, and operational excellence.

Outside of work, John is a keen social cyclist and enjoys gardening and travelling, particularly to Spain. He is also a lifelong supporter of Newcastle United Football Club.
