Andrea is an Executive Assistant in the Pathogen Program supporting Professor Gil McVean. She works closely with scientific, operational and senior leadership teams to coordinate priorities, international collaborations and strategic projects, helping complex research programs run effectively. She also acts as Co-Lead Executive Assistant.

Before joining EIT, Andrea spent 20 years working in political campaign managament, most recently leading national work on artificial intelligence and campaign projects.

Alongside her role at EIT, Andrea is studying for a degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence with the Open University. She also has a particular interest in how AI can help administrative professionals work more effectively and create more time for high-value work.
