Aimee Matika is a Senior Data Engineer for the AI & Robotics Institute at EIT, where she works on the design and delivery of scalable data systems to support interdisciplinary research and innovation within the institute.

Before joining EIT, she spent five years as a Data Engineer at Quantexa, a leading data and analytics software company, unifying disparate datasets into contextual graphs to support decision-making for clients across banking, finance, and telecommunications.

Aimee holds an MSc in Big Data and a BSc in Ecology and Conservation from the University of St Andrews, where she graduated on the Dean’s List and received the Margaret Llaing Prize for the best undergraduate dissertation, which was later published, reflecting a background spanning both science and computing.

Outside of work, she enjoys spin classes, reading (especially a good fiction), travelling, food, and art.
