Javier González is a Research Lead on the AI Research team at the EIT, where he works on advancing AI across multiple domains, with a special focus on healthcare applications.

Before joining EIT, Javier was a Senior Principal Research Manager at Microsoft Research Cambridge, where he led several projects aimed at improving the causal reliability and interpretability of generative AI models. His work spanned healthcare and life sciences, including developing models to generate real-world evidence from electronic medical records, improving understanding of the immune system by linking diseases to T-cell receptors, and optimizing CAR-T therapies. Earlier in his career, Javier led a team at Amazon focused on the emulation of physical systems, contributing to improving simulators of the Amazon supply chain and the development of Amazon Prime Air drones.

Outside of work, Javier enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is also passionate about playing music and painting.
