Ari Weinstein, Ph.D. is a Research Scientist at the AI & Robotics Institute at EIT, where he focuses on cross-disciplinary applications of artificial intelligence.

Prior to joining EIT, Ari was a Principal Scientist on Amazon’s Core AI team, where he brought state of the art science to many different areas of the company using LLMs, graph neural networks, and large scale optimization.  Previously, he was a Research Scientist at Deepmind, working on human-machine interaction, as well as machine perception and understanding of physical systems.  

Ari earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University with a focus on reinforcement learning and perceptual science, and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, where his research centered on hierarchical reinforcement learning from a computational neuroscience perspective.
