Antonis has consistently ranked among the top performers in Greece’s National Mathematics and Physics Olympiads, and represented his country at the 2024 European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS). He has also published three research papers in esteemed peer-reviewed journals for high school students. He is the sole author of a peer-reviewed publication in the Young Scientist Journal (2024), proposing a multi-stage emissions capture system that converts exhaust gases into methanol and fertiliser by-products. He was also an intern at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), conducting independent research on improving the efficiency and noise reduction of quantum circuits using Python and Qiskit.

Beyond STEM, Antonis excels in debate and international relations, winning the National Mock Trials Contest “Protagoras” three consecutive years and earning first place in the 50th Yale MUN Essay Contest.

Antonis seeks to delve further into electrical engineering during his time in Oxford, particularly artificial intelligence and quantum computing while also maintaining a strong interest in sustainable innovations for green energy generation.

In his free time, Antonis enjoys playing the piano, reading literature, playing tennis, and chess.
