Cathy is passionate about accelerating the clean energy transition, tackling the climate crisis and probing the boundaries of human knowledge.

At sixteen, she represented Australia at the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) and won an individual silver medal, catalysing her passion for geosciences and science research. Her published research paper using a novel comparative planetology approach to characterise the Martian sulphur cycle won a Third Place Grand Award at Regeneron ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair). She was elected Systems Engineer at the International Space Settlement Design Competition, where she led a 60-member company to victory as World Champions.

In her spare time, Cathy enjoys exploring the outdoors and building her rock collection. She loves creating art and making music, whether singing in her bedroom, playing guitar in her band, or playing clarinet within an orchestra.
