Yuyuan Zhou, PhD

Yuyuan Zhou is a postdoctoral scholar on the Microscopy team at Ellison Institute of Technology. His work focuses on investigating the properties and drug responses of patient-derived organoids with microscopy techniques and imaging analysis.

Dr. Zhou received his PhD in Bioengineering from Lehigh University, where he developed different vessel-on-chip models and characterized them with fluorescence microscopy. During his time at Lehigh, Yuyuan participated in the Bioengineering Department development and organized graduate student seminars and other events for two years. Yuyuan got his MS degree in Biomedical Science from Drexel University, where his research focused on evaluating the sterilization effect of cold plasma discharge.

Outside of work, he enjoys weightlifting and reading.
