Yu-Kai (Ken) Huang is the Microscopy Operation Engineer for the Ellison Institute of Technology. In his role, he maintains and documents protocol for different microscopes in the integrated microscopy lab, helps train users to familiarize with system set up or parameters, and further assists with image analysis to interpret findings.

Previously, Yu-Kai was a graduate student researcher in the University of California, Irvine where he performed numerous imaging techniques on several microscopes in the Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics (LFD). This imaging center collaborates with scientists throughout the United States, and he was responsible for workshop talks, software training, and hands-on experiment.

Yu-Kai received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. Outside of work, Yu-Kai enjoys working out, badminton, and boba hunting.
