Lexie Scholtz is a Graduate Assistant for the Ellison Institute of Technology and a Biomedical Engineering PhD student at the University of Southern California advised by Dr. Andrea Armani. Her research centers on designing instrumentation and optical sensors for various biomedical applications.

Prior to graduate school, Lexie spent four years in Baltimore, Maryland, at Johns Hopkins University where she played NCAA basketball and graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. She has also earned her M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California.

When not in lab, Lexie can be found either playing or coaching on a basketball court or exploring the outdoors with her partner and two rescue dogs.
