Dr. Roshni Joshi

Senior Policy Lead

Dr Roshni Joshi is a Senior Policy Lead at EIT, where she focuses on shaping health policy and disease prevention strategies.

Prior to this, she served as an Advisor/Technical Lead  at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, contributing to initiatives such as developing the macroeconomic investment case for preventive health programs in the UK and implantation of a proof-of-concept genomic pathogen surveillance in Rwanda.

She has a strong background in health technology assessment (HTA) and policy research, having worked at NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) for over three years. During her tenure, she played a key role in evaluating disruptive health technologies, accelerating access to innovative treatments, and developing methods to assess complex diagnostics and disease-modifying dementia treatments.Roshni holds a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology Cardiovascular Disease from University College London, where her research focused on using genetics and metabolomics to investigate the causal implications of lipids and lipoproteins on cardiovascular disease.

She also holds a Masters in International Public Health from the University of Nottingham.
