Ian Woodward

Ian Woodward is the Director, Human Resources at the Ellison Institute of Technology Oxford. In his role, he is focused on developing the HR function and people teams within Oxford as EIT continues with construction of the EIT Oxford Campus. Ian is responsible for all things people in the UK operation and has a particularly keen focus on talent management and development, employee engagement, employee wellbeing and organisational culture.

Previously, Ian worked in the gaming industry, most recently for Caesars Entertainment, where he headed up HR within the EMEA region covering UK, Egypt and South Africa. He has also worked in pharmaceuticals, clinical research, healthcare, and retail.

A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Ian holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Human Resources Management, as well as a diploma in Personnel Management, both gained at Oxford Brookes University. In addition, he is an accredited Executive Coach and Mentor certified by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Ian enjoys spending time with his family, camping, freestyle martial arts, gym and undertakes a regular volunteering role with a national charity focused on mental health.
