Eleanor Thornton

Eleanor Thornton in the Selection Administrator for the Ellison Scholars programme. Eleanor is responsible for supporting the Selection team in their mission to find the next generation of technical entrepreneurs and political leaders and accelerate their journey to positively impact humanity.

Prior to joining EIT Oxford, Eleanor worked as an intern for AXA Investment Management in institutional marketing for responsible investment and became passionate about solving global issues such as the effect of climate change on biodiversity.

Eleanor is a recent graduate of Durham University where she completed a BA in Economics with a particular focus on game theory and environmental economics. She is currently studying a part-time MA in Law.

In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys theatre directing and acting, as well as a range of crafting such as knitting, crochet and sewing.
