Ami Hodges

Project Manager

Ami Hodges is the Project Manager for Special Projects at EIT, where she bridges operational and scientific initiatives to establish and maintain a cohesive, operational infrastructure that allows the institute to operate at its highest potential. The team also provides resourcing and project management to support EIT Programs in establishing world-class teams and capabilities, so it can achieve its core objectives.

Prior to joining EIT, Ami actively pursued opportunities to drive progress in scientific research at several major funding organisations, most recently contributing to Innovation Programs at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). During her time there, she managed a large portfolio of government-funded translational research projects for medical technologies and developed innovative funding models to foster innovation. She has also worked at Cancer Research UK (CRUK), the Wellcome Trust, and the Medical Research Foundation (MRF), and served as a Medical Writer for the pharmaceutical industry.

Ami holds a BSc in Biology and an MRes in Cancer from Newcastle University. In her spare time, Ami is an avid sprint triathlete, with a passion for running, open-water swimming, and spinning. She also finds joy in hiking – preferably up big hills or mountains - or exploring the countryside through leisurely strolls with a coffee.
