
Snigtha Mohanraj
Snigtha is a passionate environmental activist and hopes to combine her background in science research with policy to bring a STEM perspective to government.
She independently researches water contaminant removal systems and has received a patent on an invention, becoming a Top 100 Rise Global Fellow, International Science and Engineering Fair Finalist (ISEF), and Top 50 Chegg Global Student Prize Finalist.
Additionally, she is a research intern in Yale University’s Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department and a Werth Industry-Academic Fellow at the Center for Nanotechnology. Snigtha realized the absence of science in government and advocated for STEM-based climate solutions in her city, earning recognition as a US Senate Youth Program delegate.
Outside of her work, Snigtha loves to play chess, read science-fiction novels, and row crew.
